CURRICULUM

The International Christian School of Lima, Peru concentrates on the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, social, and physical needs of each child. At ICSL, our mission is to provide an education which will instill in each student a Biblical worldview, a respect for people of all cultures and religions, and a desire for academic excellence.
The faculty at ICSL are excellent. You will find that the teachers genuinely care for each student and seek to create an environment in which every child has the opportunity to grow and succeed. Each teacher is a professional educator and meets certification requirements. The faculty at ICSL uses a wide-range of teaching strategies, including a well-developed quality curriculum, to ensure the best education for each student.
As Christians, we believe that each child is fearfully and wonderfully made. This means that the faculty at ICSL are committed to fostering the spiritual and emotional growth of your child. Education in the context of Biblical principles ensures that each child is loved and nurtured as an individual.
General Overview
ICSL classrooms normally consist of 14 students or less per teacher. Small class sizes encourage close student-teacher relationships.
The school year begins the middle of August and finishes near the end of June. Students may enroll at any time during the year. There are two semesters (four quarters) per school year. School hours are from 8:15am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.
From kindergarten through grade twelve, we adapt programs to meet the needs of the international student as much as possible. Our general American style academic program also includes a multi-cultural emphasis that transcends any one culture or nationality.
The school programs are organized into five areas: Kindergarten, Elementary, Junior High School, and High School.
